The role

You will run the bench work that moves a program forward — designing and executing experiments, generating clean data, and telling the team early when the data disagrees with the plan.

What you will do

  • Execute cell-based and biochemical assays to support active discovery programs
  • Design experiments with appropriate controls and analyse your own data
  • Maintain accurate electronic lab notebook records that another scientist could repeat
  • Present results at weekly team meetings, including the results that did not work
  • Support assay development and transfer of established methods to other groups

What success looks like at 12 months

You independently own a workstream within a program, your data is used in decision documents without rework, and you have trained at least one colleague on a method you run.

What we require

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a life science, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
  • Practical experience with cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques
  • Careful documentation habits and comfort with electronic lab notebooks
  • Ability to work onsite in a laboratory environment

What we would like, but will teach you

  • Experience in a drug discovery setting
  • Familiarity with high-throughput screening
  • Data analysis in Python, R or GraphPad

If you meet the required list, apply. We cap the preferred list at four items on purpose, and we would rather read an application from someone who is 70% there and hungry.
