The role
You will run studies end to end — timeline, budget, vendors, sites and risks — and be the person the study team looks at when someone asks whether we will hit first-patient-in.
What you will do
- Own operational delivery of one or more studies against timeline, budget and quality targets
- Lead cross-functional study teams and CRO/vendor oversight
- Build and maintain risk plans, and escalate early rather than heroically late
- Manage study budgets, forecasts and change orders
- Contribute to protocol feasibility and site selection
What success looks like at 12 months
Your studies are on or ahead of plan, risks appear in your reporting before they appear in anyone else's, and your CRO counterparts treat you as a partner rather than an overseer.
What we require
- Substantial clinical operations experience including study-level ownership
- Working knowledge of ICH-GCP and applicable regulations
- Experience managing CROs and specialist vendors
- Ability to lead a team without formal authority over it
What we would like, but will teach you
- Global study experience
- Oncology, immunology or rare disease exposure
- Experience of a study that went badly and what you did about it

Pay and rewards
This role sits at grade 9, with a base range of $131,000 – $169,000 for this location, plus annual bonus, retirement contributions of up to 9%, and day-one benefits. See the full package.
