The role
You will keep people safe in an environment with cryogens, high-pressure systems, biological material and heavy equipment.
What you will do
- Deliver EHS programmes including risk assessment, training and inspection
- Investigate incidents and near misses to real root cause
- Maintain environmental and safety compliance and reporting
- Support permit-to-work, contractor safety and emergency response
- Build a culture where near misses get reported rather than hidden
What success looks like at 12 months
Near-miss reporting is up while incidents are down, corrective actions are completed, and operators raise safety concerns with you directly.
What we require
- EHS experience in manufacturing, laboratory or industrial settings
- Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental requirements
- Ability to influence behaviour without relying on authority
- Onsite role including plant floor and plant room access
What we would like, but will teach you
- Biological safety or pharmaceutical EHS experience
- Military CBRN, bioenvironmental or safety background — a direct and welcome fit
- Emergency response or incident command experience
If you meet the required list, apply. We cap the preferred list at four items on purpose, and we would rather read an application from someone who is 70% there and hungry.
Military CBRN and bioenvironmental engineering backgrounds are a direct fit.
