The role
You will handle safety information — collecting it, assessing it, reporting it on time, and never being the reason a signal was seen late.
What you will do
- Process and assess individual case safety reports within regulatory timelines
- Perform medical coding, causality and expectedness assessment
- Support aggregate reports and signal detection activities
- Maintain compliance with global reporting obligations
- Liaise with sites, partners and vendors on safety data
What success looks like at 12 months
Your reporting compliance is 100%, case quality needs no rework, and you have contributed to at least one signal evaluation.
What we require
- Life science, nursing or pharmacy background, or equivalent clinical experience
- Understanding of pharmacovigilance reporting obligations, or the ability to learn them fast
- Absolute reliability with deadlines that are legal obligations
- Clear, precise written English
What we would like, but will teach you
- Prior PV or drug safety experience
- Experience with a safety database such as Argus
- Clinical practice background — nursing, paramedic or military medic
If you meet the required list, apply. We cap the preferred list at four items on purpose, and we would rather read an application from someone who is 70% there and hungry.
Military medical backgrounds are common in pharmacovigilance and are welcome here.
Hybrid — onsite at Research Triangle Park, NC three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and one team-chosen day).
