The role
You will lead the operational strategy for a program's clinical studies, sitting alongside the medical and regulatory leads and owning how the plan actually gets executed.
What you will do
- Own the operational strategy for a program's studies from design through to database lock
- Lead study managers and set the operating standard across the program
- Partner with medical, regulatory, biostatistics and supply on program decisions
- Own program-level budget, resourcing and vendor strategy
- Represent clinical operations in governance and, where needed, with regulators
What success looks like at 12 months
Program studies deliver against plan, your study managers are being asked to lead bigger things, and operational risk is a routine agenda item rather than a crisis.
What we require
- Extensive clinical operations experience including program-level leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop study managers
- Deep understanding of trial design trade-offs and their operational consequences
- Track record of delivering complex studies in a regulated environment
What we would like, but will teach you
- Experience through a filing or approval
- Rare disease or oncology program leadership
- Experience of building operational capability, not just running it

Pay and rewards
This role sits at grade 10, with a base range of $154,000 – $199,000 for this location, plus annual bonus, retirement contributions of up to 9%, and day-one benefits. See the full package.
