The role

You will sit between raw data and the people who need answers — building the models and metrics the business actually uses.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain analytical data models and metric definitions
  • Partner with business teams to translate questions into data
  • Build dashboards and self-service tooling
  • Own documentation and definitional consistency across the business
  • Improve data quality by finding where it breaks

What success looks like at 12 months

Key metrics have one agreed definition, business teams self-serve rather than queueing, and dashboard rework has dropped.

What we require

  • Analytics engineering or strong analyst experience
  • Excellent SQL and dimensional modelling ability
  • Experience with a BI tool and a transformation framework
  • Ability to say no to a metric that means three different things

What we would like, but will teach you

  • dbt experience
  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing data familiarity
  • Experience running a metrics governance process

If you meet the required list, apply. We cap the preferred list at four items on purpose, and we would rather read an application from someone who is 70% there and hungry.

Working pattern

Hybrid — onsite at Research Triangle Park, NC three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and one team-chosen day).
