The role
You will develop the processes that later run at scale — at the bench and in the pilot plant, with an eye on what a manufacturing site can actually do.
What you will do
- Design and execute development studies for upstream, downstream or analytical processes
- Define process parameters, ranges and control strategy
- Support scale-up, engineering runs and technology transfer
- Author development reports and contribute to regulatory sections
- Work with manufacturing science on manufacturability from the start
What success looks like at 12 months
Your process area has a defined, defensible control strategy, a scale-up has run without surprises, and manufacturing colleagues were involved early enough to say so.
What we require
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, or bachelor's with strong industry experience
- Hands-on bioprocess development experience
- Design of experiments and statistical analysis capability
- Onsite role with pilot plant work
What we would like, but will teach you
- Single-use systems experience
- QbD and control strategy development
- Experience of a process that transferred successfully
If you meet the required list, apply. We cap the preferred list at four items on purpose, and we would rather read an application from someone who is 70% there and hungry.
